Mourneview EPC is run by Declan Hughes, a sole trader based in Strabane, Northern Ireland. This notice explains what I do with the details you give me.

What I collect

Your name, phone number, email, the property address and the details about the property you give me on the enquiry form or by phone, message or email.

Why I use it

• To reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and arrange a visit.
• To carry out the Energy Performance Certificate and lodge it on the official EPC register, as the law requires.
• To send your invoice and keep business records for my accountant and HMRC.
• If you ticked the box, to send you occasional news and offers. You can stop these at any time.

Who I share it with

• The EPC register and my accreditation scheme (Elmhurst Energy), as part of producing the certificate.
• My accountant, for my business records.
• The tools I use to run the business (for example email, payment and record-keeping software), only so they can do that job.

I never sell your details.

How long I keep it

Enquiries that don't go ahead: up to 12 months. Completed jobs: survey notes, photos and assessment evidence for at least 15 years, as my accreditation scheme requires. Invoices and business records for 6 years for tax purposes. Complaints and their outcomes for at least 7 years.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details I hold about you, have them corrected, or have them deleted where I don't need to keep them by law. Just email [email protected]. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
